In line with the Standard Policy which governs Myanmar Timber Legality Assurance Systems (MTLAS), MFCC has carried out the revision process of MTLAS 2013. The public consultation was made to collect comments and suggestions from stakeholders for the revision of MTLAS. After the discussion, the draft version of MTLAS was endorsed by the MFCC technical working group. Then the second meeting of the MFCC Committee approved MTLAS v 02.00 on 11th January 2023. MFCC submitted “MTLAS (v. 02.00)” in English and Myanmar version to the Standards Development Division of National Standards and Quality Department under Department of Research and Innovation, Myanmar; to define Myanmar National Standards.

In accordance with duties and function of Section 5, Article b and vested mandate of Section 33, Article (b) of the Law on Standardisation, National Standards Council endorses “Myanmar Timber Legality Assurance System (v 02.00-2023)” as Myanmar National Standard “MMS MTLAS 56: 2024 မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတရားဝင်သစ်ဖြစ်ကြောင်းအာမခံ သည့်စနစ်” on January 8, 2025 to develop the legality of timber in Myanmar.

MFCCမှ ပြုစုထားသော Standard Setting Policy အရ ၂၀၁၃ ခုနှစ်တွင် ရေးဆွဲခဲ့သော MTLAS ကို ပြန်လည်ပြင်ဆင်ရေးဆွဲခဲ့ပါသည်။ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတရားဝင်သစ်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း အာမခံသည့်စနစ်ကို ပြန် လည်ပြင်ဆင်ရေးဆွဲရာတွင် ဆက်စပ်ပတ်သက်ပါဝင်သူများအားလုံးထံမှသဘောထားမှတ် ချက် နှင့် အကြံပြုချက်များ ရယူဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့ပါသည်။ အကြံပြုချက်များကို ဆွေးနွေးပြီးနောက် MTLAS (မူကြမ်း) ကို MFCC Technical Working Group မှ အတည်ပြုခဲ့ပါသည်။ အဆိုပါ“ MTLAS v 02.00” အား ၂၀၂၃ ခုနှစ်၊ ဇန်နဝါရီလ (၁၁)ရက်နေ့တွင် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံသစ်တောထောက်ခံချက်ပြုရေး ကော်မ တီ ဒုတိယအကြိမ်မြောက်အစည်းအဝေးမှအတည်ပြုခဲ့ပါသည်။ MFCC သည် MTLAS မူကွဲ (၂.၀၀) အား မြန်မာ၊ အင်္ဂလိပ်နှစ်ဘာသာဖြင့် သုတေသနနှင့်တီထွင်ဆန်းသစ်မှုဦးစီးဌာန၊ စံချိန် စံညွှန်း ဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်ရေးဌာနခွဲသို့ မြန်မာစံချိန်စံညွှန်းအဖြစ်ရရှိရေး အဆိုပြုတင်ပြခဲ့ပါသည်။ အမျိုးသား စံချိန်စံညွှန်း ကောင်စီ သည် စံချိန်စံညွှန်းသတ်မှတ်ခြင်း ဆိုင်ရာ ဥပဒေပုဒ်မ ၃၃၊ ပုဒ်မခွဲ (ခ)အရ ပုဒ်မ ၅၊ ပုဒ်မခွဲ(ခ)ပါ လုပ်ငန်းတာဝန်များအရ MMS MTLAS 56: 2024 မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတရားဝင်သစ်ဖြစ် ကြောင်းအာမခံသည့် စနစ်” ကို မြန်မာစံချိန်စံညွှန်းအဖြစ်သတ်မှတ်ခဲ့ပါသည်။
