Sixth MFCC Meeting

Sixth MFCC meeting has been held at the Director-General Office, Gyogone Forest Compound. MFCC members, as well as the staff from the MFCC-PEFC project, have been attended. Additionally, different stakeholders and members from Forest Department, Myanma Timber Enterprise, Department of Research and Innovation and NGO discussed and proposed how to extend the current scope of the MFCC-PEFC Project as well as SFM for the natural forests, plantation timber and Community Forests(CF) and legality certification system (MTLAS) of MFCC. Moreover, the updates for the MFCC-PEFC Project supported by Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation have been explained in details to the other MFCC members.

Agendas of the meeting include:

Approval of the on-going and unfinished objectives and matters from the fifth MFCC meeting.
Review and revise decisions from the MFCC sub-committee for the revision of the MTLAS.
General updates and discussion about MFCC and MFCC-PEFC Project supported by Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and other general discussions included.
